These terms are published for review. They are not an active paid offer, and no charge or subscription can begin here. Final terms, merchant information and working billing controls must be confirmed at launch. Draft version: 2026-10-16.
Same access at every amount
One-time contributions and monthly supporter tiers would fund original writing, tools, hosting and maintenance for this independent publication. Every guide and planning tool remains available free, including to readers who never contribute. A supporter tier does not provide game access, in-game items, advantages, intellectual-property rights or endorsement from a game team.
One-time or monthly — choose deliberately
A one-time contribution would charge only the USD amount selected and would not renew. The planned monthly tiers are Supporter: $5 USD per month; Sustainer: $10 USD per month; Champion: $25 USD per month. Each has identical access. There is no annual commitment or free trial in this proposed offer.
For a monthly tier, the selected amount would be charged at checkout and renew monthly until cancelled. The checkout must show the final amount, billing frequency, renewal terms and any applicable tax before payment information is submitted. A recurring payment requires an explicit choice and consent. Creating a wiki account, reading a page or selecting a tier does not itself authorize a charge.
Proposed cancellation policy
Before launch, a working Stripe billing-management link will be provided on the support page and with billing communications. It will let a supporter stop future monthly renewals without contacting sales, explaining a reason or closing a wiki account. Cancellation would not charge a cancellation fee or remove access to the free wiki.
If the billing portal is inaccessible, the proposed fallback is to email blazingmechanicsdesk@gmail.com from the billing email with the subject Cancel monthly support. A request received before the next renewal would stop that renewal; if it is processed late and a renewal is taken after receipt of the request, that renewal would be refunded. Keep the request and confirmation. No portal link is offered here because live billing has not been enabled.
Proposed refund policy
The proposed policy is a full refund on request within 14 calendar days of each charge, including a monthly renewal. No reason would be required and the supporter would not pay an administration or processing-fee deduction. Contact blazingmechanicsdesk@gmail.com from the billing email with the charge date, amount and receipt reference. Do not send a card number or identity document.
Refunds would return through the original payment method, subject to the payment provider’s process; the bank determines when the money appears. Cancelling future renewals and requesting a refund are separate actions, so specify both if that is what you want. Requests about duplicate, unauthorized or incorrectly collected charges would still be reviewed after 14 days. Nothing in this proposed policy limits mandatory consumer rights or card-provider dispute rights.
Changes and closure
The proposed approach is no automatic upgrade to a more expensive tier. A material change to the amount or recurring terms would be disclosed before it takes effect and require any consent applicable law requires. If the support program closes, future renewals would stop. There is no promise of a game release, a particular article, investment return or ownership interest in exchange for support.
Accounts, billing and privacy
A wiki profile and a Stripe billing arrangement are separate. Deleting a wiki profile would not by itself cancel a Stripe subscription. Cancellation instructions must appear beside account deletion before recurring payments launch. Billing records may be retained for accounting, tax, refunds, disputes or legal obligations after profile deletion.
Stripe is the intended payment processor. Its live checkout and the updated Privacy Notice will explain the information processed before launch. We will not ask for card or bank details by email.
Independence and charitable status
The publication did not create or operate the original game or any unofficial remake, and is not their agent or fundraising representative. We do not claim tax-exempt charitable status or that support is a tax-deductible charitable contribution.
